Aya Hirano in Malaysia

200812291259001

I’ve been tipped off that mega seiyuu Aya Hirano, who voices Haruhi Suzumiya and Konata, is apparently now in Malaysia, shooting her 3rd Idol Shoot in town. Her recent blog photos shows that she has been to KLCC, Pavilion, and Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Anime blog hashimime first noted her arrival in Malaysia. Hmm…that hotel entrance looks familiar. I’d love to score an interview with her somehow for GameAxis. Well, tomorrow I’m going to the city anyway. Maybe I’ll get lucky and bump into her. :3

New Year’s Eve

Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve, but I’ve no plans to celebrate it because I can’t be arsed to get stuck in traffic and pay through the nose for overpriced drinks. I’m saving up for a trip next month, and I can’t afford to blow it away on a single night. I’m still going out the day after for a simple lunch with some mates - it’s a better way to welcome the new year than getting piss drunk and not remembering what went on the night before.

Maybe I’ll watch the new Touhou anime. I’ve read that it comes with pretty decent English subs.

Working through Christmas and the holiday weekend because there’s just too many things to do right now with the mag. Still, to everyone else who has the luxury to be with their loved ones and receive Christmas prezzies today, enjoy the rest of the day. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

December Soliloquy

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand it’s alive! Alive!

Nope, I’m not dead. Just been really busy lately, and I had forgotten to renew my domain name. If you still get errors seeing this page, just clear your cache and refresh this page. So now the site is back up and I plan to get back into the flow of updating this blog. After not updating it for so long, I find that I really miss blogging. I don’t update that frequently, but I really do love writing and I want to share what I’ve done so far.

Last month I was busy with our GaX December 2008 issue, which is currently out in newstands. I also nab for myself a mobile earlier last week - a Nokia N96 - by participating in one of their media events promoting their latest social networking experience, Nokia viNe. In fact, you can view my image and video uploads on Nokia’s viNe site. Just search for ‘fatcatlim’. ;)

Lately, I’ve been playing Wanko to Kurasou (Literally: Getting Along with Doggies). After playing it through, I really want to review and comment about the game, especially about the main character. But I guess I’ll leave this for another blog post another day. Right now, all I can say is that it’s a lot more enjoyable than Let’s Meow Meow! In the meantime, enjoy cute little Mikan in her mikan bako.

I haven’t been watching as much anime lately thanks to a little game called Fallout 3. Y’know, I didn’t expect to be so enraptured by this game. But once I picked up the controller and resumed my journey, I just couldn’t stop. I even played for 14 hours straight on one of my off days - it’s that engrossing. I’ve already reached level 20 so I don’t feel as attracted, but I still want to find out what happens in the end.

Ah…Comic Fiesta 08 is this weekend. It’s a pity that GaX won’t be part of it this year, but I’ll still be going over to cover it. If you see me there, don’t forget to say Hi! ;3

KOF Movie Details - EPIC PHAIL

“It also looks like the King of Fighters movie will introduce a new science fiction spin into the setting established in the games’ universe by following the surviving members of three legendary fighting clans who are continually whisked away to other dimensions by an evil power. As the fighters enter each new world they battle that universe’s native defenders, while the force that brought them seeks to find a way to invade and infect our world.”

For fucks sake, why must they go do a Mortal Kombat rip-off and put in a new plot? The Orochi storyline is perfect fodder for a movie, and you pull this sci-fi bullshit on us??? Not even the weak NESTS story had this lame cross dimensional bullshit.

Christ, what a way for the KOF Live Action Movie to debut.
