The Gamer’s Litter Box

Misae’s arc comes to a nice close. Kurogane thinks it deserved another episode, but I think 2 episodes is just nice since it was a mini route. Anyway, instead of discussing the episode I thought I’d just point out the various character cameos instead since every other anime blogger will be blogging about the episode.

First up: Yoshino-san, whose awesomeness continues to show even in his teenage years. For some reason, the girl at the far right reminds me of Megu Kakizaki, Suigintou’s medium. Maybe because she couldn’t handle Yoshino’s GAR-ness that’s why she found herself in the hospital.

(BTW, is that her twin next to Yoshino? Or a copy-pasta by KyoAni?)

Ibuki sensei looking completely lost between Misae and trap Shima, who just declared his love for Misae. Perhaps she wants to join in? Considering her character, I can totally envision her saying “Ara ara, this looks like fun~”

The purple posse having fun with each other now that their routes are over.

Rie Nishina, Sugisaka, and unnamed Chorus Club member #03 were at the festival too. Nice to see their cameo - it reinforces their presence in the later episodes of After Story.

Sugisaka seems to be looking a little tsundere there. “It’s…it’s not like I want to go out and have fun with you. I thought you look a little lonely, so that’s why I accompanied you!”

(Kinda sad that Rie is giving her the cold shoulder to speak to unnamed Chorus Club member #03 instead. I’d like to see them on a rabu-rabu date together)

Yukine and her delinquent groupies, looking like a yakuza family boss wife surrounded by her bodyguards. It’s a gentle reminder that we’re moving to her arc next episode.

Yeap, I consider Tomoya to be a cameo character this episode, since he’s acting as the Cat Whisperer for Shima. Y’know, most people would question a person’s sanity if he said a cat show him visions from the past. But in Clannad, it seems like it’s an everyday occurence since neither Nagisa and Sanae bats an eyelid as Tomoya passes Shima’s message to Misae.
